One-Day Vaccine Clinic In Annapolis

If your cats are overdue for their vaccinations, mark Oct. 17 on your calendar. That's the day of the SPCA of Anne Arundel County's next low-cost vaccine clinic.

 Prices at the clinic are $5 for a one-year rabies vaccination, $10 Feline Distemper Vaccine (FVRCP) and $25 for that very important microchip.

Free 'Fix' In Anne Arundel County

If you live in Glen Burnie, Pasadena, Severn or Brooklyn Park and are income eligible, you can get your cats and dogs "fixed" for free at the Spay Spa & Neuter Nook. For information and an appointment, call 443-607-6496.

This targeted spay/neuter program is made possible by a grant from the Maryland Department of Agriculture. To be eligible, you'll have to provide proof of government assistance.

Free Spay/Neuters At BARCS

If you're in zip codes 21215, 21216, 21217, 21223 or 21229, you can get your cat neutered/spayed for free at BARCS.

The free surgeries are funded by a grant from the Maryland Dept. of Agriculture. BARCS and the Maryland SPCA are targeting these zip codes because of the large number of cats and dogs from those areas who are taken to shelters.

Baltimore Area Pet Food Banks

Having trouble paying for your cats' food? These pet food banks can help.

SPCA of Anne Arundel County: To qualify for help, you'll need to show proof of low or fixed income and a photo ID. Also, your cats will need to be neutered/spayed or the SPCA will want you to be willing to get that done.

Baltimore Humane Society: The Humane Society's BKind Pet Food Bank is open to anyone who needs assistance feeding their animal companions. For information or to donate food, call 410-833-8848 or go to bmorehumane.org.
